There are two different methods to applying Insurance to a tenant’s unit. The first method will be applying Insurance to a unit that is already moved in. The second method is applying Insurance to a unit that is recently being moved in.

  1. Find a unit.
  2. Look under their Financial Info, and click on Monthly (details).
  3. You’ll see the following dialog box, click on Add Protection.
  4. After clicking Add Protection, you’ll see another dialog box populating the coverages offered at your facility. Make your selection and click on Start Protection.
  5. You will be asked if the tenant is now ready for the pro-rated fees. Click Yes if ready to do so.
  6. Process the information below as you see best fit.
  7. After clicking OK. The tenant will now be Insured.
    • You can tell when a tenant is insured by the umbrella next to Due Monthly (details). You will also encounter the Cancel Protection button, and you’ll see their coverage amount where I’ve highlighted yellow.

To add insurance to a new tenant moving in, you’ll find the option under the Financial – Move In tab.

The tenant will pay for their Insurance along with their rent and other charges.
